The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its most recent assessment on global climate change at the end of September. The IPCC is a body of over 800 scientists from across the globe, established in 1988 by the United Nations to produce periodic assessments of the science of climate change and impacts on humans. The key findings of this report are that scientists are more certain than ever that our climate is warming and that human activities are causing this change. While climate-deniers claim there is uncertainty about climate change, the report shows that climate scientists are 95% certain humans are changing the climate. To put this into perspective, this is the same percentage of doctors who believe cigarettes cause cancer. Read more about the report from CNN.
